E46 manuals are faster than automatic counterparts and can be upgraded to be faster more readily. automatic's have a torque convertor which zaps power. 330 automatic does a BMW published time of 7.0 sec 0-60. 330 manual does a BMW published time of 6.4 secs 0-60.
The S54 found in the Z3 produces 315 horsepower and 251 pound-feet, at 7900 rpm and 4900 rpm, respectively. S54B32s in the M3 produced 333 horsepower and 262 pound-feet, at the same rpm. The Z4 M
this is different in the M3 compared to 330Ci: front and rear bumper, sideskirts, front and rear fenders are wider, hood has different lines and has a power bulge, quad exhaust, trunk lip, side grills with M3 logo, wider stance in the rear, wheels, mirrors, always black window trim, black headlight trim + black portion between the headlights to complete the headlight "black-out" look.
The 330xi is 4WD and is slower than the 330ci and the 330i. If want the most out of the 330, buy the Performance Package 6-speed (ZHP). The ZHP comes with an M aerodynamic kit (front bumper, side skirts, and rear apron), Alcantara M steering wheel, Alcantara seats, silver or black cube trim, M shift knob with a short shifter, a stiffer
The E30 has better support locally, obviously it is a known model and people track it like mad, same for any 3 series for that matter. ATM my "project" E82 is on hold while i seriously consider other options. 2012 E82 125i - VIN 51467 - 330i/130i front discs (330x24) - Alpine White - Brown Leather.
Instead of following a detuned-for-America strategy like they had in the past, BMW used the same engine for all markets. Only minor differences, like close-coupled catalytic converters, slightly reduced the U.S. car’s rated horsepower. The E46-chassis M3 received a new 333-horsepower, six-cylinder engine.
DttfV. We compare a stock BMW E46 M3 against a stock E46 330ci, looking at the exterior, interior and driving differences, including their exhaust notes. Both are great cars, the 330CI is
To the OP, 128i has 11.8-inch discs front and back, compared to 12.8-inch front and 12.6-inch rears on a 330i. Final drive ratio is I think 2.73:1 on the 128 compared to 2.93/3.07 on the manual E46 330i. Personally, I'd go with the 135i just to get its monster brakes. No leather/no cold weather package/no sports package.
Convertible. I have narrowed down the selection to: M3, 330ci (Less performance but significantly cheaper than M3), 320ci (possible to find extremely low mileage versions) Rough prices - M3. Low Mileage - 20-40k mileage = $34k - $18k (53/54 plate 2004) [~£30k] High Mileage - 100k+ mileage = $12k - $10.5k (04 plate 2004) [~£10k] Rough prices
In terms of the legendary E46 BMW 3-Series, sold from 1997 to 2006, while the M3 seems most desirable, the model you actually want to find is the 330i ZHP. The standard 330i was already a competent car right off of the showroom floor with a 225 horsepower (in the US) 3.0-liter inline-six engine pulling the famously balanced E46 chassis around
E46 M3 is the best option, comes with S54 3.2 liter engine that makes 333hp. This is pretty much a track car stock, but good luck finding one under $15,000. That being said I am selling a 330xi (AWD version) fully loaded automatic, if interested. TheBeautifulChaos 330i ZHP • 2 yr. ago.
3.09 (ZHP 6MT) or 3.38 (330i auto) will be what you need. 3.38 will be a good balance for what you're looking for. i think i have to pick one or the other the diff is the only way for accelerate or top speed i found out that the rim size larger better for top speed or smaller for accelerate or a remap ecu for higher rpm range for top speed if i
