GH1, GH2, GH3: Legends of Rock, World Tour, Smash Hits, Metallica, Van Halen, Aerosmith, GH5, and Warriors of Rock all require the 5-fret (button) guitars; you cannot use 6-fret. The only game that uses 6-fret is GH: Live. I would recommend getting the game on Xbox 360 if you're dead set on having an official GH game like the ones listed above
