They traced the leak to one of the pipes going into the oil cooler, and the other pipe had a whacking great bulge in it. So £15 + VAT and £27 + VAT plus there labour of £48 + VAT per hour I am guessing the bill will be around the £110-£120 mark, as the guy said it could take up to an hour and a half lol.

I have bought a 2003 Mondeo tdci to run in the winter when my Focus RS is off the road. When turning the ignition off the key won't pull out of the barrel I've tried oiling the barrel but not joy. Ps it is a manual I've looked on google but can only find people with automatics with park problems.
hi there guys just looking for some info on changing the water pump on a mondeo mk3 tdci 130bhp. is it pretty much the same as the ford wiki on the 115bhp engine, as my engine looks abit different. also how easy is it to loosen the tension on the drive belt? garage have quoted me 2 hours labour @£40+vat an hour but if it is not that bad to
107 posts · Joined 2011. #2 · Jan 25, 2012 (Edited by Moderator) Start by doing a dash test. Hold in the odometer reset in and turn on the ignition. Scroll though the tests by pushing the button. Make sure the temp' gauge does a full sweep at first. That will rule that out as the problem.
dynuY31. The mk3 tdci is a mature product, I think all known problems have been discovered by now. If you don't get any ideas from this forum, try asking on talkford.com as it has an active mk3 section. I've just replaced the sensor today with a delphi grey one. £22 so worth a try.
the tddi is less refined than the tdci common rail,with a 2.0 tdci you will get around 130bhp,but some of the common faults are some of the common faults are, injectors - the delphi injectors are not the most reliable and often loose there code or pack up all togeather so look for black smoke

Mondeo Mk3 Turbo issues. Bit of a turbo issue with my 07 Mondeo TDCI MK3 with Duratorq engine and was wondering if anybody could help decipher what part is actually wrong so i can fix it. Car engine developed low grumbling noise at idle and whilst driving, check engine light came on and subsequently went into limp mode where it has stayed.

Finally traced the problem to a broken wire going to the map sensor now have no problems reaching 3 figure speeds. Not that I have ever been that fast
